CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service)
CAS in Diploma Programme (DP) and Primary Years Programme (PYP)
This acronym stands for Creativity, Action, and Service. It is a mandatory part of the International Baccalaureate Curriculum offered by the school and encompasses a host of community and social service activities. Currently, the school is supporting; the Salam Orphanage in Tabanan, an elderly home in Gianyar, a non-profit organization for the disabled, Yayasan Peduli Kasih (YPK) and an organization called Smile. We raise funds to support these organizations in the form of food, clothing, medical treatment funds and education funds.
Middle Years Programme Service as Action
Every school around the world that teaches the Middle Years Programme (MYP) expects its students to become involved with their communities.
Service as action is a core component activity of GMIS Middle School students’ that is required to be completed once a term. The students’ initiate and plan their own activities with guidance and support from the school community. The service and action learning outcomes helps the students be compassionate and empathetic to the community.

With appropriate guidance and support, students will:
- Become more aware of own strengths and areas for growth

- Develop international-mindedness through global engagement, multilingualism and intercultural understanding
- Consider the ethical implications of their actions.
